Well, the weekend is over and hopefully the "holiday spirit" is gone from the hearts of the millions of people who get into it. Ahem. Ben and Ashley were just downstairs making a trailer gingerbread house. I guess it looks ok? I just got a mini pie thing and it's actually quite good. Ben made whip cream by whipping some egg whites and sugar and it's not bad. Maybe if it was colder. Laura comes back tomorrow and I'm quite happy for that. I'm going to go into work and probably leave early, depending on my mood and the amount of work there is, which is usually very little. I went a little overboard today. Well, I frequent this computer website and they have a list of good deals and stuff. One of them was getting magazine subscriptions really cheap. So, I went to the website and behold, they are cheap! There are a lot of $3.95/year subscriptions and $4.95 ones. I got out of control and got myself 6! Only $30 for those 6, though, so you have to look at the price factor. Anyway, that's about the only thing that's new over the weekend. Chris bought me some eyebrows for my headlights for the car. I got him a subscription to a car magazine (not from the place!). I should get that soon and then I'll have it painted and I'll install that baby. Just waiting for Laura to call right now...and surfing. I really want a Gameboy Advance!!!!

Today is just a blog of a day isn't it? I was just listening to MP3s and Creed's "One Last Breath" came on and I stopped what I was doing for a minute and just thought. I don't know exactly what I was thinking, but I was thinking about Laura for a good part of it. I remember asking Laura what some of the lyrics were and I was re-living that moment. It was weird. And then I realized stuff, but I'll keep that to myself. Nothing bad, I'll tell you that. And then I was reading some stuff online and there was an article saying that the New York Times is going to put a mini disc player in its time capsule to be opened in the year 3000. That got me thinking...too bad I'm not going to be living that long to see that happen (or will I???). And then I was thinking how I was going to leave this world and what it is really like. Reincarnation or an after are my best wishes, but who knows what happens huh? I think it would just be a waste for us to just...die. We should come back or something, at least. I guess since we don't know for sure, we should live our lives the best we can now huh? Sometimes I just want to fast forward to when I'm like 70 and see what I'll be doing. I'm listening to "Time of Your Life" right now. It's a really good song, I've decided. I was telling Laura this some time ago, but I sometimes just stop and think how weird us humans are. Like, how we act the way we do at different times and it's always different between everyone. I was thinking what the other person was thinking while he or she is doing what he or she is doing. Weird I know. I'm a complicated thinker. I was also listening to Vitamin C's "Graduation" and that's a good song too. It's only 7 or so now, but I feel like going to sleep. I have nothing to do and sitting in front of the computer for so long isn't all too healthy for me either. I am missing Good Eats right now. It's almost over anyway. Damn, I wanted to see it too. If I were a little more talented, I would sit down, write out some lyrics, some tabs, and make a song, but I don't think that'll happen in this lifetime. Maybe I'll be reincarned as a destined music artist. That would be pretty cool. I'm gonna get something to drink now. I'll see ya later.
Okay, I'm back. The bread was good with olive oil and garlic. So on Thursday I drove to Laura's to spend the night so we can leave for the ski park early in the morning. That night, though, Chris drove up also, because he was going. He got lost in the first place...and drove around for who knows how long and then he forgets where her house was. Anyway, We get back and I was hungry, so we went to eat, ending up at Carl's Jr. After getting back, we pretty much went to sleep. The snowboarding day was next. The entire thing cost $45 for the lift ticket, $32 for the rental, and fricken $12 for lunch. And to top it off, I didn't have that good of a time either, and now I'm sore. So, if I didn't go, I would have been not feeling sore and around $90 richer. Go figure. I wanted to spend more time with Laura, but it really didn't go that way. We hardly did spend time. We got back last night around 6pm and Laura and I went to dinner. That instantly put me in a good mood. I think you could figure out what the negative factor was for that day. I went to sleep (spent the night again) because I was tired. I'm at home now. Got paid yesterday, so that's good...but yeah, bills and rent took it all away. The year is coming to a close! 3 more days and another year has passed. Seems like every year is passing faster and faster. By the time I know it, I'm going to be retiring. Yeah right. Anyway, I guess I can say some "end of the year" closing statements. I think this year was a good one for me. I learned a lot of things and, in fact, a lot of things have happened that has tested my patience and trust with people, but in the end, I think I came out in the positive ranging, learning more things everyday. Some highlights??? Well, the big fight between all of our friends and our group somehow splitting up instantly, camp, Laura and I...(hehe), school, a new car, new living place, etc., etc. Hopefully next year will treat all of us even better. 21 will be my age, which means I can almost do everything. I am going to go gambling with my Mom on the 1st of February, if I get my taxes early and other factors. If not, it'll be another time. Ashley's back today, well, I think she's in Boulder or something, because her car's here, but not her. Next year TJ is moving out to go to CSU. That will cause some interesting situations. I guess I can have a new year's resolution out by the first week of the new year. Keep watch for that. Just to let you know, from about the 31st on till like, the 3rd, I probably won't make a blog entry, considering I will be doing stuff, so. I may sneak in once to write something short. Things are the same as ever here, though. Hope you all had a great Christmas. I did.
Fast forward 4 days and here I am, back home. That was a quick 4 days after realizing my last blog was Christmas Eve. I am currently warming up some bread that I got as a present...yes, weird gift, but it's food. I'll be back to continue writing after I finish it up and get settled back in again at home. So until then. See ya.

Christmas Eve...what a normal day. Didn't go to work today and did absolutely nothing. I hate when I do that, but oh well. Laura called and said she didn't receive the ornament present that I got for her Mom, which sucks. I wrote an e-mail asking for a refund on the difference of shipping prices, because I chose the faster one because it said it would arrive TODAY. Damn carriers. Played the demo of Warcraft 3 and it's awesome. Chris is getting it tomorrow, so maybe I'll get hooked on that for sometime. I remember when we played Starcraft ALL the time during my freshman year at CSU. It did hurt my study habits and class attendance...yeah. I won't let it happen again. I ate some stuffing and chicken. I may eat the rest of my spanish rice later on. I am downloading the Age of Mythology demo right no on Laura's computer, because my computer sucks. :) I will probably play that until it's time to sleep. Tomorrow I'm off to my relatives in Longmont. Dunno for how long, but not long I know. I don't even know why I'm going to tell you the truth. I'm just wasting gas for the trip there and back and then on Thursday I have to go down there again because I have to drive to Laura's house to hitch a ride to go snowboarding on Friday. I decided I'm just going to have Chris pay for it and I'll pay him back. I don't want to borrow money from my Mom. I'll ask though and see what happens anyway. Boring night...I mentioned that already didn't I? Yes, very boring. I looked at the grossing for LOTR: The Two Towers and it was impressive. $101 million + on its first weekend. Great movie. Oh yeah, I guess some of the presents that I got Laura out of nowhere are the SAME presents that her sister bought her a few months back. She called me feeling down. Oh well. Stuff like that happens. Hopefully I can request a refund. My phone has been good so far. No dropped calls and I think all the calls have gone through to ring at least, unlike my old one, which was a p.o.s. Also, now that I have moved "up" to color displays, I don't think I'll ever go back to non-color phones. Just not the same. A good analogy would be the upgrade to dial-up to broadband...and not being able to go back. Maybe tomorrow it'll snow here. One thing that I haven't seen yet is a white Christmas while I've lived here...maybe, but I don't remember. It would be cool to see that. If I dont' write tomorrow, which I may or may not, I probably won't write until Friday or Saturday. Happy holidays to you guys.

The weekend passed, and nothing new happened. That's the story every week. Anyway, I thought I would take a trip down memory lane of my childhood in this edition of my blog. I was just taking a shower and I was thinking to myself how we all grow out of things as time passes, whether it be a hobby, doing something, friends, etc. You know what I mean? For instance, in my case, I used to LOVE playing video games, especially fantasy ones. Back then I wouldn't think twice about going to my TV and spending hours upon hours of game time. If there was a new game out that I wanted, I would buy it. Now, it's like, eh, I don't need to play it, or "that's stupid"...It's weird how something I really liked doing just goes away like that. I guess what replaces these things are more important things in life as you get older...school, your loved ones, money, work, etc. For me these things are more important than videos games and computer games...though, I do like to play the occasional game or two with the company of friends. Board games have also started to elude me, though they weren't as prominent as video games for me. Some, however, around me still are attracted to these things. Derek and Grant to lead the pack. They play video games a lot. Just the other night they even had a "video game" tournament. I was never THAT obsessed, by the way. My hobby for now is working on my car with the little money and patience that I have. Heck, I hardly work, but I get through. This coming year is another step toward becoming more "settled" in life. You can begin to actually lay out your plans and follow them. I mean this now because everyone knows that most people who plan out their life in their middle school or high school years end up not following those plans anyways, be it to change of mind or situations that are just unavoidable. The first years of my life were fun, now they're becoming serious, and then eventually they'll become fun again. Until then, though, it's gonna be a hell of a journey. I look around my room right now and I don't see much that has survived the test of time in terms of my belongings. The only thing that I have had since childhood is probably a couple of postcards in a box somewhere. Even things from high school are missing. The newest thing sitting on my desk (and my room) is my phone. I'm not a pack rat...so to speak, though I tend to keep things that I THINK will come in handy later on or ones that I think have a special meaning to them. For the most part, though, I'm a man without past memorabilia. No photos of ANYTHING in the high school years, except maybe a graduation shot and a scant few from when I was a childhood. Then I watch some people, say on TV or in real life rummaging through their old photo albums and such and for a little bit, I actually feel jealous that they have these things. Sometimes I wish my family was closer, but not really. It's only when other people talk about "their sisters" or "their brothers" and fighting and stuff. We never fought. Heck we never really talked. Hopefully I can change that in the future amongst friends. I don't want to be someone who looks back on their life and regrets not talking...or something. Anyway, I'm gonna get going for tonight. Tomorrow...yeah, I don't know if I'm going to work. Wednesday is Christmas. Boo hoo. The holidays...the time to spend with your family and friends. I think the holidays is sad for people who don't have people to be with. Luckily, I have a few. :) Chris and I were talking the other day about how the holidays made him depressed and what not. Society sometimes does a good job of landing a punch in the form of so called "tradition". Oh well. So long for tonight.

Finally the weekend. Not that I have anything special to do, just stressing the fact. I have been searching around for rechargeable batteries lately and the new Rayovac nimh batteries and the 1-hour charger seems to be the best bet. Rechargeable up to 1000 times and it holds its power and even is more powerful than other batteries when they're full. I want it. Hehe. It will come in nice use for my keyboard and mouse, which I have to replace once every couple of months anyway. Though the initial cost of like $40 for the charger and a few batteries seems high, it's really not in the long run, so, I may do that sometime. Well, I may go play golf later. I have to do some stuff to get ready and stuff...yeah, stuff. I'll write later.

So, I got my phone earlier than I expected. I love it. I tried the wireless internet thing when I had free minutes and it's pretty cool. The color is amazing. Hopefully it works better than my other phone in terms of reception! Laura is going home tomorrow for the holidays, which sucks. Nothing for me to do. I didn't go to work today. I will go full-time next week for the extra money. I need it! I think I am going to buy a car charger for my phone, however. I think it will come in handy. So yeah, it's only been what, a few days since I've been out of school and I'm bored as hell. This break, like all breaks before, is going to suck.

Just got back from the theater watching Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. Badass movie! Loved every minute of it and it really didn't have "slow" parts and scenes like I remember the first one having. Anyway, the battle scene was awesome. Had a lot of comedy too, actually, which was unexpected. Probably the best $6 you will spend on a movie this year. On the way back, this stupid mustang was driving up next to me and revving its engine and stuff wanting to race. Of course I didn't. I can't take it! :) Then he tries to race a Maxima that was in front of me. I think it had stuff done to it as I saw a muffler, but I think it might have been just the exhaust tip. He turns off, and then a little while later, an M3 drives up past me on the left. We (Laura and I) were thinking it would have been cool to see the cocky mustang get its ass beaten. Anyway, not much. I'm still recovering from this severe coughing of mine. It's almost done though, I can tell. Other than that, just waiting for my new phone, probably on Friday, to arrive. Oh yeah baby. Wireless internet here I come. Hehe. But it's time for me to get sleeping. I am tired. See ya later.

A fight with Rod (over chat) broke out. Ended bad, but oh well. I also bought a new cell phone service plan from Sprint PCS with vision. Yes, the same vision with color. Oh man. Because of the $80 instant rebate, the phone wasn't as expensive as I thought, which is good because it clears up some money for me to use. Other than that, there are 4 confirmed grades for this semester. 3 As and 1 B, with music appreciation still on the horizon, but grades are due by tomorrow, so I'll know then. I think I had a good semester. Hopefully I can back it up with next semester. I think I have bronchitis. I have been coughing nonstop for the last two days. It sucks. Getting better, but still bad. Tomorrow I have an orthodontist's appointment and then the next one after that should be the last one as I MIGHT be taking my braces out. Joyous occasion I know! Anyway, I think I'm going to go take a shower. I have a website now, at this place but the bandwidth that I get (basically the number of people who can look and surf my site) is very small and even now the site is down because I exceeded my bandwidth. Anyway, now I'm going. See ya!

A day of presents for me! Well, I guess I can't really call them presents, but yeah, here's the storyline for today. I went to work and low and behold in my e-mail box there's a message from the college saying that they were buying back books for the semester. I was like, oh, nice, I can go sell my books. I got a nice, plump $140 back for it and to top it off, the guy compliments how well the books were kept. I was like, well, duh, I did that so I can get the money I'm getting now. So I'm off back home with $140. Earlier in the day, I had called to see how much tinting my car would be. It was coincidentally $140, but it turned out for illegal tinting (what I did), was $170. So nonetheless, I get the car tinted at 20%. I'm happy. So that is my line of early Christmas presents for me. More to come!!! :) Laura isn't feeling good right now and we just got back from Cold Stone. I have the rest of my ice cream in the freezer because it was too much to eat. Tomorrow is an easy day, I think. I am going to go to work, for a very little while, and then probably eat lunch with some people and I have no idea what to do. Hm...yeah, nothing to do. Oh yeah, but at night, it's the Nutcracker play at the local center. Um, time to go surfing. Late.

Since yesterday morning, my throat has been weirdly acting up. It hurts near the end of it, but only when I cough or drink something. I'm sure it's some weird body thing and it'll pass by in a couple of more days, but in the meantime, it's annoying. I'm listening to Simple Plan. They are ok, I guess. Earlier I just watched music videos on Yahoo!'s music video site. I have my import car club website set up. I just have to advertise it in the college paper. I figured out the price and for a 2" by 2" add for a week, it's like, $30 or something. I just might stick with a day or two and hopefully people see it. But other than that, there's really not much going on. I missed work today on the excuse that my throat was bad. Hopefully they don't think I'm ditching. I like drinking coffee, but whenever I drink it, I get sick. I don't know if my stomach can't handle it or if it's because I'm drinking it on an empty stomach. Oh well. I did get started again on my own site, just preliminary run at the design, but I can't think lately. I have web designer's block. Laura got her Christmas present from my Mom. It was quite a gift and she was really happy. IF, I say again, if, I get paid like I'm supposed to this Friday because of the fact that I turned in my timesheet late last time, I should be able to get tint for my car with the extra money. I should have about $200 extra, so that should be plenty, but then again, there are bills coming. I hate bills. They always seems to come more than once a month. Like the last electric bill I thought it was a couple of weeks ago that I sent in my bill, but yeah, I get one again. Not doing anything for Christmas once again. I think it's a good "season" to have, with all the nice things going around, but I don't like the holiday. Too many people do too many things. This Friday is the night Laura and I are going to see the Nutcracker (which was my present to Laura for our 1 year anniversary if you didn't know). I am actually looking forward to seeing it. I would have probably gotten better seats if I hadn't waited longer than I did, but I guess they are ok seats. Well, I'm back to doing nothing I guess. I really have nothing to do. I don't want to spend money, so I don't want to go out and do something, but yeah. I'll write again sometime later.
Monday, December 09, 2002
A little edit on the last blog. I guess the webmaster resets the high scores daily or weekly, so it's gone, but today, since the high scores were low, I got second place again. Well, other than that, I'd like to say people are just stupid. Oh yeah, I'm done with school for this semester and nothing to do until January 21st. Yay.

Fun news! Head over to Orisinal, an online flash games site, and play the first game on the upper left, called Fishball. I have been playing this for quite some time now and I finally got 2nd place!!! Woohoo. Just to note, I put "I_Love_Laura" as my name.
Hello. Okay, well I lied about doing this blog this weekend, but I guess I'll try to redeem myself by doing a little of it. Anyway, I'll give a very brief overview of what's been happening since my absence (the major things). First of all, my car has been worked on quite a bit. I have gotten a spoiler, which took a week to install because body shops were closed on weekends. That was $125. I guess it was worth it as I couldn't have done it myself. Second, I bought clear tail lights for my back lights. I like that a lot. And the last thing that I have done is put an air intake under the hood. Creates a very nice low noise whenever I accelerate. I have a few more things on the horizon. The next thing that's coming is most likely the tinting for my windows. Then around tax return time, it's going to be a full body kit. I can't wait for that. Then, not in any order, racing seats, exhaust, headers, lowering, etc., etc. That's it for my car. Next is school. This was the Fall where I decided to take all online classes and fortunately, I can say that that went awesome. I could have gotten a chance to pull a 4.0, but I don't think that I did. At least a 3.25 or higher, so that's good. I've already registered for next semester and I am really in school mode. I have 18 credits, which is the most I've taken by far and I have one class that I have to actually go to, astronomy. I have it with Rod, if you remember him, he's the pot smoker. He's still doing it. Go figure. By the way, he got fired from his work and is currently unemployed. Complications at work...uh huh. Chris and Ben are still the same. Chris is struggling to finish some of his classes and he has to finish his math by this week. Ben has changed quite a bit. He seems to like Ashley, but we're not all sure. He denies it, but yeah. They've been hanging out a lot lately. Interesting where it's going considering TJ is moving out here in about a month. And yeah, so is John, the "other" guy from camp. God I hate camp. Yes, it's past summer and it's still haunting me. Nothing else new around town. Oh yeah, I forgot to write it on the last, last blog, but it was me and Laura's one year anniversary on December 1st. I can't believe it's already been one year. I still remember vaguely writing in this blog about our first date and kiss, but time flew by quick. Well, actually we're caught up to the current events. I guess there wasn't much to say. My Mom got a new vehicle, a Honda CRV. It's really nice. It suits her really well. She was choosing between that, a Subaru stationwagon and a Toyota Rav 4. I am still working at the National Park Service like I said before and I even got a raise and also the chance to work there through whenever. I think I mentioned that, but not the raise. $10.50/hr now, so that's great, considering we're going into the winter break and I'll be working full-time. I'm looking forward to watching the second Lord of the Rings. Also, a movie called Equilibrium and Empire. That's really it. Not much more. I don't know what we're doing for Spring Break yet. I think it's just me and Laura now, but a cruise is still an option as it is really cheap at $300 a person for a 4-day cruise. I will have to drive out to California, as it leaves from Los Angeles. I don't know about that, but we'll see. We're almost wrapping up the year of 2002 and what a year it was. It went by really fast. I wonder how 2003 is going to turn out. I still have one more final left to take tomorrow. I have to finish a study guide and turn that in for some extra credit. I need to end my school year in a good way. It's 8:30 or so and I'm out of things to write and say and do. I guess I will surf. Hehe, yes, I still do that. But like I said, the early part of 2003 (the first couple of months) is going to be an interesting one due to the number of people moving out here, my car progressing and school. My expected bachelor's acquiring date is effectively the spring of 2006 (estimated of course). I may be able to do it the later part of 2005, but it's cutting it tight. Wow, after that (2 years!), I don't know what I'm gonna do. It's scary actually. I'm going to have to start making a career, a life and working and stuff. Strange, yet scary. I cleaned my computer yesterday. It was so dusty, I think that was what was causing my messed up internet connection problem. I haven't had a problem since, so. Well, this is beginning to get long, so I'll stop. I'll begin to write in here regularly like before. Maybe I'll publish this blog to my friends now that it's pretty long, but I don't know. I still want a personal website. Anyway, I'm off. Good night.

Sunday, December 01, 2002
Well, howdy. It's been almost 3 months since I stopped writing in this thing. And you know what? I actually missed it. The reason I stopped was because I deleted (or so I thought) some of the posts from about July to August, and I was pretty mad because I didn't have them anymore. Only a few remain from that time and I thought at the time I could get those back somehow, but I guess I was wrong. A friend and Laura and I were talking about the days back when everyone still talked to each other and I told him that I would check on my blog about the things that we forgot happened. This blog came in handy sometimes too. I think...yeah, I am going to start writing in it again. I would have thought there is a limit on how long you can keep a blog on hold until they delete, but I guess the nice people at www.blogger.com kept my files intact. So, without further ado, I am officially reinstating my blog prowess. Unfortunately, I cannot start immediately tonight and cover all the things that I have not been writing about, which would be from September 9th until now, December 1st. Let me tell ya, a lot of shit has happened and some of it you probably won't believe or can't believe. But I promise I will get to it sometime you know? Before the end of the year, for sure. Well, I am pretty tired and I am going to hit the hay since I have to work tomorrow at 8, so. (Yes, I still have the job at the National Park Service, thank god, for those of you who are asking where I am now working) I will write again tomorrow night and pick up where we left off on the last blog made on September 8th. Good night.
Friday, August 30, 2002
Well, it's been quite a stir the past few days. I haven't written in here in 10 days, the longest I've gone for quite a bit now. Let's back up a little bit. As I don't remember when the 20th was (the day), I'll just explain starting Thursday, which was the night Laura and I went to Manitou Springs to stay at a B&B. It was a great time! The first experience was a good one for me, fortunately, and I'm probalby going to go back there again sometime. We just, well, relaxed, really. We walked around the town and such. All and all it was a good time. Then, though, afterwards we went to pick up Chris from the airport, and on the way back, in Ashley's car nonetheless, I got a speeding ticket. It was a black guy on a bike. Fucking tards. Anyway, fast fowarding to Monday, I go to Ralph Schomp BMW and Honda to go look at a car...I settle on a red, Honda Civic EX. I have them turn in my credit report to see if I'm good to go with financing...I'm not, of course, after spending hours there. I need a co-signer. I go talk to my Mom afterwards and the next day, aruound 5pm, I'm home free with my new car. It's a damn great machine. A hell of a lot better than mine. It's been a few days now, and been putting a little too many miles on it for my sake. I'm need to start slowing down. I waxed it last night, to find out this morning it rained last night too. I washed the windows today. Soon, I'm going to create a website of my car, though I somehow need a way to get damn pictures on the net. Oh well. It's Friday already and that means that the first week of school is already over. It went by really fast. I am totally caught up except for a couple of classes because of book shortage. That's out of my power anyway. I think this Fall is going to be a lot better than the other semesters. The weather's been tolerable lately, too. Not TOO hot, though it's still hot. Tonight I think I'm going to show up at Chris' house for a little party, but I'm not going to stay long. I wanted strawberry ice cream last night, but didn't get to it. If I still feel like it tonight, I'm going. I might go watch a movie at the $2 theaters. $2...its so cheap. But yeah, things are on the upside recently. I'm enjoying it. My room's a mess, though. Ashley and Laura are pretty much moved in and hopefully they're enjoying it too. Ashley, Grant, Derek, and Susan are taking a trip out to Iowa to see TJ and his 21st b-day. Oh, how fun would that be. I am staring at a puddle of wax that's on my desk because I was careless enough to not put anything under the candle as it lit, so it leaked onto the desk. I am kinda hungry now, so I'm going to try and find something to eat. Probably ramen, but hell, it's better than nothing. See ya!
