Okay, everytime I try to buy sometime on the down low, or, better explanation would be, not so extravagantly, I go crazy and get stuff that I know won't use. Anyway, there was a Primus stove on sale, so I got that. I bought a few fuel bottles to keep me stocked up. I should have stopped there, but I got some storm proof matches, fire starters and a heating pad...??? Oh well. $50 altogether that I could have just saved and bought something else with. Damn me. Well, the good news is that together with the new sleeping bag that Laura got me and her new tent, I want to go camping quite bad, even though it may be kinda cold up there. Ah, the joys of being me. I'm off to watch a movie now. Laters.
Okay, so my MSN is all back to normal. Found a new chat logger like I had a while back. I'm just surfing around right now. I think I am actually going to buy a gas stove for camping. I want to go soon. I am looking at them right now...I'll be back if I purchase! Hm...there's a good one that's on sale for 37% off...I'll be back. I'm deciding now...um, yeah, I'll be back to write in here.

Today's not a good day. I thought something was wrong with my MSN, so I uninstalled my 5.0 and installed 4.6...that didn't work and I find out the problem is on Microsoft's side. So I reinstall 5.0 again, but I can't get the polygamy patch to work and now there are ads back on my MSN again...fuckin eh.
Well yesterday it was a surprise that I got to see Laura. I wasn't planning on it but people went to Ocean Journey and I decided to go to. I think they wanted me to go because someone needed to drive back from Denver. Anyway, my MSN doesn't work worth shit right now. Something's wrong and the status of the network (MSN's) says it's operational. God damn it. I skipped work today and it'll be a half day tomorrow. There's a 50/50 chance I get my braces off tomorrow, but considering there is still a little gap in this one place, I doubt it would get taken off. I just paid for Ben's LCD monitor. That may be confusing. He gave me his credit card number and I paid for him. He should have his computer all received and ready to go by next week, if not late this week, like Saturday. Laura is going to try to come up on Thursday. Hopefully I can ditch work again. :) I have to go to CSU today to check to see if my timesheet has to be in early or not. I went yesterday, but the damn building was closed. Ashley is making something downstairs...smells sorta over cooked? Anyway, I'm gonna get dressed and head there now. My MSN better work by then. My finger is close to healed. I can put pressure on it again, but I can't put pressure against the fingernail...it kinda hurts. So, one more day, or I can start using my finger so it heals faster. Ashley just left. Weird. Um, yeah, have a good day.

One thing that I wanted to blabber about was that the movie Empire brought up the issue that America is the land for success and all that matters is money, respect, and power. That is true to some extent. The movie also goes on to emphasize the importance of friends in life. Very true. The plot is the classic would-you-leave-your-lifelong-friends-to-become-rich scheme. The people you meet at the top of the economy aren't usually the best of friends you'll ever meet. Some of the best friends are created through the toughest of times. I myself try not to be too concerned with money, but it's fun to talk about it. It's when it takes you over that you need to start worrying. Money can't buy true friendship, though some out there think they can. And I'm sure you can for a very little percentage of the time. Money hungry folk will do anything to get more money. I empathized with the guy in the movie for the most part. Hopefully I won't follow the same path if the chance ever confronts me.
Well, it's the weekend and my finger is almost to full healing. One more day? I can type way more easily now. Laura just called and she is now back in Denver. She had fun. I have some stories too. Well last night Chris and I went to Westminster to see Empire, which was a great movie. A lot of mexicans in the theater though and this one fucking cracker fuck was behind me kicking the chair all through the movie. I was about to bust his ass and kill his family. But anyway, on the way back, I told Chris to find a different way home...bad mistake. First we head down this road and I thought he knew where he was going. He starts going into the mountains and I start becoming worried that he doesn't know where he's going. It's true. We drive for nearly 40 minutes and we end up in FUCKING ESTES PARK. Yes, that's about 40 minutes away from home. So we get there and he's like, I must have turned at a wrong place...no shit. We drive back home and I get home around 3am, when I really wanted to be home at 2am. I don't trust Chris with his "shortcuts" ANYMORE. Then I was like, it would be cool to have a GPS in the car in times like these. It would have helped so much. I was by myself on this road near the house and this dumbass comes up and wants to race me. I was like, fuck it, and he races into my lane and turns. Idiot. I'm going to bake the rest of my bread now. I am fairly hungry. I might make eggs or something too. Anyway, laters.

Well, it's well into the new year and it's time for me to make some resolutions and goals! Um, sure, it's been a couple of days, but who cares. My first resolution is to make Laura and I's relationship even better than last year. :) Next, school. My goal is 3.5 or above. One of my 4-credit geology classes got cancelled due to not enough registrants, so I am currently in Psychology 2, with the same damn teacher I had last year. I really didn't like her. I am contemplating changing to History 2, but I'm not sure yet. I think I'll end up with Psych. Next, I want to go to California this summer. Maybe for a few days or so, but that would be a fund road trip. That means before then, I have to get a LCD screen for my car and other stuff so it will be more entertaining. Don't get me wrong, I love the scenery that we get on the way there. The few moutain ranges that we get to see, and vast open space desert and so on...and absolutely no water. What is up with that? Anyway, maybe save up some money and cut back on the expenses that I put into the car, but we'll see about that. That's about it. Nothing special or out of hand for me. I do want to accomplish a road trip goal, though. We'll see. I'm at work right now, so I'll see you guys later!

Happy new year. And still no keys. This sucks. Also, this morning Laura and I were going to slide the mattress out to checl the other side of the bed and it was heavy so I let it down just a bit, but not all the way and that got Laura's hand stuck in the crack and hurt her, so she let go completely and then my middle finger nail got stuck right in between and hurt the hell outta me! There's a big purple bruise right in the middle and it hurts to even move it. I'm typing, skillfully, without my right middle finger, and I am realize how important that finger really is. But yeah, nothing to report. Just another day.

Tuesday, December 31, 2002

Well, I had a big blog all written out and guess what, my comp freezes right before I was going to post it. What a day. Anyway, since none of it got to the posting, I'll recap it fast. I was drinking some coffee contemplating calling my Mom for a spare key to my car because my keys are lost. Yes, I have been searching for a couple of hours now I can't find them. The fact is, the doors, I think, doesn't open with the spare key. It has to be the master key, which of course, there is only one. I may possibly have to call a locksmith and have them craft me a new master key. Other than that, and the fact that I was supposed to go with Laura to meet Melanie, a friend of hers that I have heard a lot of, nothing is new. Yes, what a way to begin the new year. Seems like everything is going bad. I'm listening to Crazy Town right now. I configured the computer that Ben is going to buy. He's supposed to come here later and buy it. We'll see about that because he's going to be drunk. Well, happy new years to anyone who celebrates it. TJ is coming tomorrow, which will create some interesting atmosphere. 1 hour to go for the eastern folk until the new year. I always thought of start at New York or something and driving westward and having a few new year's, but I don't think that can happen...I just realized that you'd have to go QUITE fast to cross each time zone in the 1 hour limit you have. I'm stupid yes. Well, I'm back to searching and hopefully finding my KEYS GOD DAMNIT!!!!

Sunday, December 29, 2002

Well, the weekend is over and hopefully the "holiday spirit" is gone from the hearts of the millions of people who get into it. Ahem. Ben and Ashley were just downstairs making a trailer gingerbread house. I guess it looks ok? I just got a mini pie thing and it's actually quite good. Ben made whip cream by whipping some egg whites and sugar and it's not bad. Maybe if it was colder. Laura comes back tomorrow and I'm quite happy for that. I'm going to go into work and probably leave early, depending on my mood and the amount of work there is, which is usually very little. I went a little overboard today. Well, I frequent this computer website and they have a list of good deals and stuff. One of them was getting magazine subscriptions really cheap. So, I went to the website and behold, they are cheap! There are a lot of $3.95/year subscriptions and $4.95 ones. I got out of control and got myself 6! Only $30 for those 6, though, so you have to look at the price factor. Anyway, that's about the only thing that's new over the weekend. Chris bought me some eyebrows for my headlights for the car. I got him a subscription to a car magazine (not from the place!). I should get that soon and then I'll have it painted and I'll install that baby. Just waiting for Laura to call right now...and surfing. I really want a Gameboy Advance!!!!

Saturday, December 28, 2002

Today is just a blog of a day isn't it? I was just listening to MP3s and Creed's "One Last Breath" came on and I stopped what I was doing for a minute and just thought. I don't know exactly what I was thinking, but I was thinking about Laura for a good part of it. I remember asking Laura what some of the lyrics were and I was re-living that moment. It was weird. And then I realized stuff, but I'll keep that to myself. Nothing bad, I'll tell you that. And then I was reading some stuff online and there was an article saying that the New York Times is going to put a mini disc player in its time capsule to be opened in the year 3000. That got me thinking...too bad I'm not going to be living that long to see that happen (or will I???). And then I was thinking how I was going to leave this world and what it is really like. Reincarnation or an after are my best wishes, but who knows what happens huh? I think it would just be a waste for us to just...die. We should come back or something, at least. I guess since we don't know for sure, we should live our lives the best we can now huh? Sometimes I just want to fast forward to when I'm like 70 and see what I'll be doing. I'm listening to "Time of Your Life" right now. It's a really good song, I've decided. I was telling Laura this some time ago, but I sometimes just stop and think how weird us humans are. Like, how we act the way we do at different times and it's always different between everyone. I was thinking what the other person was thinking while he or she is doing what he or she is doing. Weird I know. I'm a complicated thinker. I was also listening to Vitamin C's "Graduation" and that's a good song too. It's only 7 or so now, but I feel like going to sleep. I have nothing to do and sitting in front of the computer for so long isn't all too healthy for me either. I am missing Good Eats right now. It's almost over anyway. Damn, I wanted to see it too. If I were a little more talented, I would sit down, write out some lyrics, some tabs, and make a song, but I don't think that'll happen in this lifetime. Maybe I'll be reincarned as a destined music artist. That would be pretty cool. I'm gonna get something to drink now. I'll see ya later.
Okay, I'm back. The bread was good with olive oil and garlic. So on Thursday I drove to Laura's to spend the night so we can leave for the ski park early in the morning. That night, though, Chris drove up also, because he was going. He got lost in the first place...and drove around for who knows how long and then he forgets where her house was. Anyway, We get back and I was hungry, so we went to eat, ending up at Carl's Jr. After getting back, we pretty much went to sleep. The snowboarding day was next. The entire thing cost $45 for the lift ticket, $32 for the rental, and fricken $12 for lunch. And to top it off, I didn't have that good of a time either, and now I'm sore. So, if I didn't go, I would have been not feeling sore and around $90 richer. Go figure. I wanted to spend more time with Laura, but it really didn't go that way. We hardly did spend time. We got back last night around 6pm and Laura and I went to dinner. That instantly put me in a good mood. I think you could figure out what the negative factor was for that day. I went to sleep (spent the night again) because I was tired. I'm at home now. Got paid yesterday, so that's good...but yeah, bills and rent took it all away. The year is coming to a close! 3 more days and another year has passed. Seems like every year is passing faster and faster. By the time I know it, I'm going to be retiring. Yeah right. Anyway, I guess I can say some "end of the year" closing statements. I think this year was a good one for me. I learned a lot of things and, in fact, a lot of things have happened that has tested my patience and trust with people, but in the end, I think I came out in the positive ranging, learning more things everyday. Some highlights??? Well, the big fight between all of our friends and our group somehow splitting up instantly, camp, Laura and I...(hehe), school, a new car, new living place, etc., etc. Hopefully next year will treat all of us even better. 21 will be my age, which means I can almost do everything. I am going to go gambling with my Mom on the 1st of February, if I get my taxes early and other factors. If not, it'll be another time. Ashley's back today, well, I think she's in Boulder or something, because her car's here, but not her. Next year TJ is moving out to go to CSU. That will cause some interesting situations. I guess I can have a new year's resolution out by the first week of the new year. Keep watch for that. Just to let you know, from about the 31st on till like, the 3rd, I probably won't make a blog entry, considering I will be doing stuff, so. I may sneak in once to write something short. Things are the same as ever here, though. Hope you all had a great Christmas. I did.
Fast forward 4 days and here I am, back home. That was a quick 4 days after realizing my last blog was Christmas Eve. I am currently warming up some bread that I got as a present...yes, weird gift, but it's food. I'll be back to continue writing after I finish it up and get settled back in again at home. So until then. See ya.

Christmas Eve...what a normal day. Didn't go to work today and did absolutely nothing. I hate when I do that, but oh well. Laura called and said she didn't receive the ornament present that I got for her Mom, which sucks. I wrote an e-mail asking for a refund on the difference of shipping prices, because I chose the faster one because it said it would arrive TODAY. Damn carriers. Played the demo of Warcraft 3 and it's awesome. Chris is getting it tomorrow, so maybe I'll get hooked on that for sometime. I remember when we played Starcraft ALL the time during my freshman year at CSU. It did hurt my study habits and class attendance...yeah. I won't let it happen again. I ate some stuffing and chicken. I may eat the rest of my spanish rice later on. I am downloading the Age of Mythology demo right no on Laura's computer, because my computer sucks. :) I will probably play that until it's time to sleep. Tomorrow I'm off to my relatives in Longmont. Dunno for how long, but not long I know. I don't even know why I'm going to tell you the truth. I'm just wasting gas for the trip there and back and then on Thursday I have to go down there again because I have to drive to Laura's house to hitch a ride to go snowboarding on Friday. I decided I'm just going to have Chris pay for it and I'll pay him back. I don't want to borrow money from my Mom. I'll ask though and see what happens anyway. Boring night...I mentioned that already didn't I? Yes, very boring. I looked at the grossing for LOTR: The Two Towers and it was impressive. $101 million + on its first weekend. Great movie. Oh yeah, I guess some of the presents that I got Laura out of nowhere are the SAME presents that her sister bought her a few months back. She called me feeling down. Oh well. Stuff like that happens. Hopefully I can request a refund. My phone has been good so far. No dropped calls and I think all the calls have gone through to ring at least, unlike my old one, which was a p.o.s. Also, now that I have moved "up" to color displays, I don't think I'll ever go back to non-color phones. Just not the same. A good analogy would be the upgrade to dial-up to broadband...and not being able to go back. Maybe tomorrow it'll snow here. One thing that I haven't seen yet is a white Christmas while I've lived here...maybe, but I don't remember. It would be cool to see that. If I dont' write tomorrow, which I may or may not, I probably won't write until Friday or Saturday. Happy holidays to you guys.

The weekend passed, and nothing new happened. That's the story every week. Anyway, I thought I would take a trip down memory lane of my childhood in this edition of my blog. I was just taking a shower and I was thinking to myself how we all grow out of things as time passes, whether it be a hobby, doing something, friends, etc. You know what I mean? For instance, in my case, I used to LOVE playing video games, especially fantasy ones. Back then I wouldn't think twice about going to my TV and spending hours upon hours of game time. If there was a new game out that I wanted, I would buy it. Now, it's like, eh, I don't need to play it, or "that's stupid"...It's weird how something I really liked doing just goes away like that. I guess what replaces these things are more important things in life as you get older...school, your loved ones, money, work, etc. For me these things are more important than videos games and computer games...though, I do like to play the occasional game or two with the company of friends. Board games have also started to elude me, though they weren't as prominent as video games for me. Some, however, around me still are attracted to these things. Derek and Grant to lead the pack. They play video games a lot. Just the other night they even had a "video game" tournament. I was never THAT obsessed, by the way. My hobby for now is working on my car with the little money and patience that I have. Heck, I hardly work, but I get through. This coming year is another step toward becoming more "settled" in life. You can begin to actually lay out your plans and follow them. I mean this now because everyone knows that most people who plan out their life in their middle school or high school years end up not following those plans anyways, be it to change of mind or situations that are just unavoidable. The first years of my life were fun, now they're becoming serious, and then eventually they'll become fun again. Until then, though, it's gonna be a hell of a journey. I look around my room right now and I don't see much that has survived the test of time in terms of my belongings. The only thing that I have had since childhood is probably a couple of postcards in a box somewhere. Even things from high school are missing. The newest thing sitting on my desk (and my room) is my phone. I'm not a pack rat...so to speak, though I tend to keep things that I THINK will come in handy later on or ones that I think have a special meaning to them. For the most part, though, I'm a man without past memorabilia. No photos of ANYTHING in the high school years, except maybe a graduation shot and a scant few from when I was a childhood. Then I watch some people, say on TV or in real life rummaging through their old photo albums and such and for a little bit, I actually feel jealous that they have these things. Sometimes I wish my family was closer, but not really. It's only when other people talk about "their sisters" or "their brothers" and fighting and stuff. We never fought. Heck we never really talked. Hopefully I can change that in the future amongst friends. I don't want to be someone who looks back on their life and regrets not talking...or something. Anyway, I'm gonna get going for tonight. Tomorrow...yeah, I don't know if I'm going to work. Wednesday is Christmas. Boo hoo. The holidays...the time to spend with your family and friends. I think the holidays is sad for people who don't have people to be with. Luckily, I have a few. :) Chris and I were talking the other day about how the holidays made him depressed and what not. Society sometimes does a good job of landing a punch in the form of so called "tradition". Oh well. So long for tonight.

Saturday, December 21, 2002

Finally the weekend. Not that I have anything special to do, just stressing the fact. I have been searching around for rechargeable batteries lately and the new Rayovac nimh batteries and the 1-hour charger seems to be the best bet. Rechargeable up to 1000 times and it holds its power and even is more powerful than other batteries when they're full. I want it. Hehe. It will come in nice use for my keyboard and mouse, which I have to replace once every couple of months anyway. Though the initial cost of like $40 for the charger and a few batteries seems high, it's really not in the long run, so, I may do that sometime. Well, I may go play golf later. I have to do some stuff to get ready and stuff...yeah, stuff. I'll write later.

Friday, December 20, 2002

So, I got my phone earlier than I expected. I love it. I tried the wireless internet thing when I had free minutes and it's pretty cool. The color is amazing. Hopefully it works better than my other phone in terms of reception! Laura is going home tomorrow for the holidays, which sucks. Nothing for me to do. I didn't go to work today. I will go full-time next week for the extra money. I need it! I think I am going to buy a car charger for my phone, however. I think it will come in handy. So yeah, it's only been what, a few days since I've been out of school and I'm bored as hell. This break, like all breaks before, is going to suck.

Wednesday, December 18, 2002

Just got back from the theater watching Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. Badass movie! Loved every minute of it and it really didn't have "slow" parts and scenes like I remember the first one having. Anyway, the battle scene was awesome. Had a lot of comedy too, actually, which was unexpected. Probably the best $6 you will spend on a movie this year. On the way back, this stupid mustang was driving up next to me and revving its engine and stuff wanting to race. Of course I didn't. I can't take it! :) Then he tries to race a Maxima that was in front of me. I think it had stuff done to it as I saw a muffler, but I think it might have been just the exhaust tip. He turns off, and then a little while later, an M3 drives up past me on the left. We (Laura and I) were thinking it would have been cool to see the cocky mustang get its ass beaten. Anyway, not much. I'm still recovering from this severe coughing of mine. It's almost done though, I can tell. Other than that, just waiting for my new phone, probably on Friday, to arrive. Oh yeah baby. Wireless internet here I come. Hehe. But it's time for me to get sleeping. I am tired. See ya later.
The day is mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers is out today and I am going to watch it at 5pm. I can't wait man!!!

Monday, December 16, 2002

A fight with Rod (over chat) broke out. Ended bad, but oh well. I also bought a new cell phone service plan from Sprint PCS with vision. Yes, the same vision with color. Oh man. Because of the $80 instant rebate, the phone wasn't as expensive as I thought, which is good because it clears up some money for me to use. Other than that, there are 4 confirmed grades for this semester. 3 As and 1 B, with music appreciation still on the horizon, but grades are due by tomorrow, so I'll know then. I think I had a good semester. Hopefully I can back it up with next semester. I think I have bronchitis. I have been coughing nonstop for the last two days. It sucks. Getting better, but still bad. Tomorrow I have an orthodontist's appointment and then the next one after that should be the last one as I MIGHT be taking my braces out. Joyous occasion I know! Anyway, I think I'm going to go take a shower. I have a website now, at this place but the bandwidth that I get (basically the number of people who can look and surf my site) is very small and even now the site is down because I exceeded my bandwidth. Anyway, now I'm going. See ya!
