So, right now it's a big difference in the internet's speed...it's so sluggish right now. I take back my last post. Anyway, I finally go my braces off! Hell fucken yeah. Felt really weird when it first came off, but I'm getting used to it now. The bad thing now is that I have to wear the retainer for about 6 months full time. Then at nights. In the mean time, I have to get this stupid cavity fixed...not looking forward to that. Laura is singing like a weirdo next door right now. Laura got her parents' approval to live with just me next school year. Good. Now we have to find a place. Hopefully we can snag one of the two options we were hoping for. Can't wait for the Spring Break trip. I need SOMETHING to take pictures with. Digital or not. Probably film will do. We are going to go eat some dessert at Rod's house and we're going to sit in the hot tub. It's his b-day, by the way. We got him Phase 10 Masters Edition. Hopefully he doesn't have it and will like it. 1/2 will do. Well, nothing else to report. Took the astronomy test today and it was an "eh" kind of test. I'm sure I did okay. I just didn't know a couple of the short answers. No big deal. I am not looking forward to this geology lab on Saturday from 10-4...yeah, 6 hours long. What the fuck are we going to do for 6 hours? God damn. I think as of now, the plans for an Ireland work abroad is going to happen and should take shape soon. I told my Mom and she was all for it, surprisingly. She said better to do this kind of stuff while I was young. Ha. I have to check on my passport to see if it's still valid. If not, I have to go do that. I'll update as I need on this plan. Late.

I just did a check on the speed of my internet and it's damn fast! I can feel it too. It's so much faster than the T1 line at work, it's great. Thank you technology! Went to work, did some stuff, now I'm back at work. Gonna to eat in a little bit, but I just wanted to stop by. I got my state tax refund, which was much needed. Well, not really, but just good to have you know? I forgot that it was $300 instead of $250. Goodie, goodie. Tomorrow's my astronomy test. I'll have to study for that tonight. Not really much to study for. Just cover a few points and do my note card. Should be all right...and then FINALLY, after months and months of delays, tomorrow I get my braces off. If I don't, man, I'm gonna fucken wreck some havoc. I'm serious. I want these fuckers off now! Well, gotta get going. Be back sometime soon.

My computer class test is ready and available on the website. I could take it and probably get a good grade, but I'm going to take it tonight when I have quiet and time on my hands. I don't want something happening like thinking it's going to be really easy and then making stupid mistakes. I make a lot of bill payments today, most notably my credit card and insurance. Together equaled about $1000. God damn! My bank account went from a good $1200 to a scant $100 or so. Watched the Boiler Room last night. I like the movie. Tonight is Laura's pick and she chose the wedding planner. Oh well. I am just finishing up this blog before I head out to work. It's cold outside, but it's not really cold, if you get that. It snowed a good amount last night and the snow on my car is still piled up high. I tried to go fast to blow it all away, but no can do since the roads were quite slippery today. I hope it's an eventful day at work. I don't want to just sit there like usual. Maybe I'll go in a little late today, but probably not. I still have to get ready and stuff. Ah, I know, I'm going to take my astronomy paper there so I can re-write it. Nice. Anyway, hope you guys had a good start to another week of work and fun! Oh yeah, I have to get a dentist's appointment today. I don't know whether I should go there or call. Maybe I'll go there now. I feel like I'm in a chatty mood. Which reminds me, I also cancelled my old credit card today right, but then as we were talking this guy (I swear I knew he was black) kept telling me that it's good to keep the account open for credit and shit. I said, "No, I want to close it." And then he comes back saying "Well, are you sure, because it's good to keep it open." "No, I want to close it." This continued for about 3 minutes when finally he got hte picture that I wanted to close the account. After all, isn't that what someone is trying to say when they say they want to close the account? Man, sometimes the darker color seems to "block" messages that are trying to get into their damn brain...no more Capital One for me. Late.

Well, well. Today was a "let's buy something for no reason" day. Laura and I just came back from Target and Circuit City and we each bought 3 and 4 movies, respectively. I bought my all-time favorite The Rock and some other noteworthy ones. Laura bought 66% chick movies, but that's okay since I have action movies to cancel it out. I rearranged my room and took out the big ass couch that I had in my room, you know, since I always used it and all. Now I have more like an office setup which I like much better and seems more roomier and cleaner. It's snowing pretty hard outside, but they're little bitty snowflakes that'll take a long time to build up. I just checked the weather report and seems like there's a chance of snowing today and tomorrow and then it'll settle down for a little bit. That's all the news that I have for now. I'm just waiting for the state tax refund to get back and my school refund and then I'll get to paying off all my debts at the moment. Well, hope you had yourself a good weekend. I'm getting ready for 3 tests this week. Fun.

I just noticed my last blog and that the sentence sounds really weird when the word 'wind' is pluralized. Anyway, I got a 59/75 on my first history test, which equates to around 79%...not good, but not bad either I guess. I had to get a feel for the tests. I found out that I missed on the short answer but did great on the multiple choice. If I bump up my efforts, I should be able to get an A by the end of the semester. Lots of news today! First I sent off an e-mail to Suzanne. It's her b-day tomorrow. She sent an e-mail back saying thanks. Yes, Laura, I just said happy b-day. :P Second, I got paid today a whopping $370, which is enough to cover for a lot of stuff, but low and behold, I got my federal income tax return back!!!! That's a gigantic $759 back to me....hahhahahahahaha, the problem is, that's just about enough to cover for my new credit bill...yeah, I spend too much. The good thing is that I'll get my state tax refund back for about $250. I just realized that I hadn't paid my Mom for this month's car payment! Shit! I'll say that I couldn't give it to Chris or that I'm giving her the return for the financial aid, so this month is a freebie or something. Anyway, my last credit is paid off and I'm going to cancel it probably early next week. I'm in a good mood, despite the fricken history test score, but oh well! I'm gonna go to front range on my way to work to have this form filled out, head out to work, and then get my timesheet signed and I'm off at around 1 or so? I have nothing to worry about this weekend. This week sucked because I had so much shit to do. I have two tests next week, computer, which should be quite easy and biology, which I'm not too happy about, though it's still a take home....shit! I just remembered about the astronomy test too. Oh well. I'll do good. Another weird thing, another weird ass bump, this time a one that hurts, appeared on the same ear that already has that fucking alien implant. What the fuck is up with that? In any case, I'm going to take a shower. A nice long one, maybe it'll make the shit go away. It hurts when I try to scrape it off. The difference about this one is that it's just on the surface and not in the inside. Any-fucking-way...oh yeah, here's an interesting episode. Last Saturday Rod, Laura and I were playing Phase 10 (card game) and right before Rod when home, or apparently close to it, I called him an idiot and said that he had a brain tumor...so he jets off and I knew he was pissed off about that. We have class on Tue and this Thurs. and turns out he's still mad. I mean come on. Can anyone take a joke? Laura's taking his side at times, but I ain't doing shit. It's his problem to deal with. Now I'm going. Lates.

The next round of tests are coming up for my computer class, biology class, and history is this week. I'm going to review probably sometime today and tomorrow and take the test on Wednesday. Shouldn't be too hard as I did the reading. :) The internet is rather fast, today. Which is nothing for me to complain about. My orthodonstist's appt. is at 1pm today. I thought it was way earlier so I woke up way early. Oh well. I picked up Chris yesterday from the airport. I should rather say early this morning, since I got back around 1. It's pretty fast to get to and from the airport. It was probably about a little over an hour from here and a cool 40 minutes or so to Longmont. That is, however, at 11pm, so there was absolutely no traffic and no cops. Helps a lot. Now, if everything was as dead as at night, I would be happy. My car passed 100,000 miles a few days back. I'm already over 300 on it. I will probably do an oil change this week to get ready for the Spring Break trip that hopefully we'll have. I then as I got out of the shower this morning, I thought to myself that it's incredible how things aren't starting to grow in our bathroom. It's so filthy, it's just disgusting. My toothbrush has met it's end now. I have to go get another one when I go to the ortho today. I have to. I don't know what I'm going to do now. Maybe surf a bit and get to some homework possibly. Thank god for president's day!

Well, it's been a while. I have to catch up on myself about what I wrote. Valentine's went well. I gave Laura two pendants, which she loved, plus a jewelry box (albeit it was from King Soopers!), and a little strawberry smelling plush bear. In turn, I got two movies, The Count of Monte Cristo, which is awesome, and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. I've always wanted to see it. Among other things, chocolates, candles, and a fleece throw. Yesterday we went and saw Laura's sister play volleyball in Greeley. There were A LOT of girls there. Other than that, today I tried to teach Laura how to drive a stick and she started crying. We'll try another time. I have to pick Chris up from the airport today, Fucken eh. The plane comes in at 10:50pm. I am going to try to take a different way to DIA than the other times I've went. I home I get there in time. An hour and 40 minutes should be plenty. We'll see. I am hungry right now, though. I want to eat something. I will probably end up eating ramen, but I don't really want ramen. Oh well. Deadline for some of my bills are nearing! I hope I get my tax return and/or my refund check from the school REALLY soon. I might not be able to make it. Tomorrow's president's day! Hell yeah.

Good news and more good news. I may be lined up for an internship at my work, but that's pending the meeting that the person wants to get me into it and my boss. We'll see how that goes. The majority of the internship focuses on written Java code and debugging and stuff, but it would be a great experience for me to work hands on with some experienced people. I ordered Laura's Valentine's/B-day present yesterday and it most likely shipped today. If I would have ordered it by 7am yesterday, it would have gotten here tomorrow, but oh well. My credit card is inflating everyday. I'm going to have to start budgeting out soon, like within a couple days. I have bills to pay and I have to make sure I'll have enough money to pay certain things first and so forth. I read an article about Valentine's Day on MSN and it talked about how this holiday has gotten out of hand in terms of people thinking "Oh, I have to get so and so this." It starting to become as though they're buying stuff BECAUSE it's Valentine's Day and not just because the care for the other person. Oh well. Speaking of holidays, Monday is a federal holiday, which means I'm free for the day. I found out today that on federal holidays, I have the day off PLUS I get to put down the hours that I would have worked. I just found that out. How wasteful is that. Anyway, I also got my free $10 and free night's stay at the casino place yesterday. We're going to use it on Spring Break. Woo hoo. But yeah, I'm going to start surfing again. Yes, the internet. Laters.

Productive day at work today. Today was just a frustrating day overall. Don't ask me why. Yes, don't ask me why. I did my taxes, went to Lakewood for Laura's early b-day thing. For the taxes, I am getting back about $1050, but it's all gone with the bills I have. Things are going to be tight for the next couple of weeks until I get everything paid off and settled down in terms of credit card usage and stuff. I am caught up with work and everything. There's nothing to do. Laura is talking to Rod downstairs right now. I believe they're talking about baseball, and then switched to football or something. She likes him. Ha. Lates.

Well, another day gone and it's finally the end of the week. This week was kinda hectic, relative to other uneventful weeks. Anyway, went to class, then work, and came home and did the usual. Did a lot of homework. Actually, finished up my homework for the week so I don't have anything to worry about this weekend. It's a nice feeling. Laura went to her friend's tonight to hang out. Hope she had fun. My Mom bought be some clothes, as they were on sale at Kohl's. I like them for the most part. :P I just finished downloading and extracting Microsoft Visio, a handy little software that I discovered at work today. It's cool, that is, when you have the use for it. It's nice to have, I guess. Snowed today. I also found out that my cold air intake for my car was really loose. Turns out that the bolt that was connecting it to the car was snapped off. Probably because of "rough" driving and the extreme cold. Oh well, nothing a good length of duct tape won't fix. :) Anyway, going to see if Visio works. I'll be back later.

Lots of stuff today. Woke up really tired around 9 o'clock. Slept in today for once. Anyway, I had to go in for work since my boss was going to take me to lunch for my "belated" b-day present. So I chose to go to Old Chicago and a couple other co workers went. I ordered a calzone. I got a card that was signed by a lot of people at work and then after dinner, they told the waittress that it was my b-day, so they brought a cookie pizza thing and the worse thing...they made me stand up on the fricken booth while they sang their version of happy b-day. Fucken eh. Can you say embarrased? Anyway, that's the bulk of the shit that happened today. I don't think I wrote it, but this Sat/Sun we're going to Laura's to have dinner for her b-day. Olive Garden is the place. I'll get to meet Ryan, Laura's sister's fiance officially, since the first time I met him, it was for like, 30 seconds. Today I'm scheduled to read history...but I don'r really feel like it. It's snowing like mad again. I don't like the snow, but I guess the more we get, the better the chances are that there won't be any fire bans this summer to go camping. I got my end of the year statement thing from my credit card and I spent $1600 total last year beginning June. Man, that's a lot of money. In July alone it was almost $600. But yeah, mostly car stuff. I'm about to pay this credit card off and cancel it. I'll be using the new Sony one for a while now. That's it!

Well I'm back! Well, I was back nearly 5 hours ago but in any case. The gambling went well. I had borrowed $100 from my Mom and within the first $40 or so dollars, I paid her back, which was good. In the end, before my last round of gambling, I was up $30, but lost it all, so I broke even. If I didn't want to go home, my Mom would have spent the last $40 she had for sure. Oh well. I'm looking around for my wallet now...oop, I found it. I feel like Coldstone. I don't know why. Um, yeah, that's too bad that I didn't do as well as I hoped I'd do, but at least I didn't lose. Was going to go camping tonight, decided not to. Kinda windy out and I didn't want to take the risk of not being able to start a fire, keep a fire, smoke in the eyes, and getting cold. There'll be other times. Well, gotta go.
Wow, it's early. Well, I'm off. Wish me luck...and strange. I just went outside, and as you can see, it's around 5:45 out...and it's fricken warmer than I'd expected! I mean, It's supposed to be cold right? I went out there with a t-shirt and I was fine. It's probably going to be hot day. Hope my luck is the same.

Hopefully tomorrow I'll come home a richer man. I doubt it, but it's better to go gambling with an optimistic attitude...and it IS my first time. Chance and luck are nice to me in general, so we'll see. Didn't go to work today. Did homework instead. Got an at-home exam for biology. Still can't figure out some questions...pathetic huh? I brought home Stargate from Chris house. It was mine, but it's all scratched up since I didn't have a case for it. Hopefully I'll watch it tonight. Chris went to see a lacrosse game in Denver. Yeah, stupid. Nothing new...people are talking downstairs...annoying kinda.

Just checkin' in because I haven't in a while. Finally started to get some work towards me at work. Though, it's almost done, I can't complain. I just saw the new trailer for The Fast and the Furious 2...the cars aren't bad, but I don't know about the storyline...take for granted people are probably going to go see it for the cars anyway, but I don't think a sequel would be good for this movie. Both The Matrix sequels coming out this year are stupid too, I think. I'll probably end up watching it, but don't count on it. The last LOTR movie is what I'm waiting for. I hope Harry Potter burns in fucken hell. I got my license renewed to the new style today. I can't believe they make you pay $15 for this shit. With all the taxes I pay, it should be free. It's windy as hell todya too. Kinda calmed down now, but earlier all these leaves, pebbles and shit were just chippin' away at my car. I found out also that I can't put a different turbo kit on my car since Greddy (the company I like) doesn't yet make a turbo kit for a 96. That sucks. That pretty much leaves me with one choice. FMAX turbos, which, although they're badass and it's the best I can get, is $3800 WITHOUT installation. I'm thinking another grand or something for installation. Darn. Hopefully this weekend is going to be nice to me. My brother called too, which I don't care for much. My phone has been acting up lately and explains the reasons why my phone doesn't get calls sometimes. The phone just turns off sometimes after I close the lid or just turns off automatically. Defective hardware I would think. I just don't want to send it off to get a new one if I'm covered under warranty. I have LOTS of bills due right now...and coming up within the next couple of weeks. Good thing is that I got my W-2s and I will try to do them on Saturday when I get back from gambling. Then I'll just take care of all the big bills then. 5-6 more months until the lease is over and once again, we go finding another place to live. How fun. Classes are fine...everything's fine...laters.
Monday, January 27, 2003
I sort of had a mini nervous breakdown sort of things last night. One of my classes said that the instructor denied access to my class and I was like, what? And it turns out it's probably the WebCT folk at Front Range...and then there's the disastrous credit card bills that I have to pay for in the coming month...it's huge...tax returns, work, school, dealing with other people...it's just too much. Well, WAS too much. I'm all good now. Chris and I are going to see if we can attempt rock climbing near our hills. Fun, fun. Afterwards, I'm going to eat sushi with my Mom since it's her b-day. Happy b-day. Nothing big today...um, exchanged the loud muffler with a MUCH!!!!!!!!! quieter one, but it's still noticable at certain times...it's perfect. Still have the chrome tip too. No charge was given to me. What a great group of folks at Fort Collins Muffler. Hm...that's about it for now. Homework night tonight! And at least I'm not the ones who try to commit suicide after depression and breakdowns, right?
Saturday, January 25, 2003
Today was a really fun day. It was a nice day too. First we woke up and I had to do some errands. I was thinking, it's such a nice day, that we should go hiking and what not. We ended up going just up to see the "A" sign by our college. It's always quite a hike, but oh well. Before we went, however, I wanted, for reasons no one knows, to get a CamelBak (one of those back pack like things that hold water and you wear it like a back pack...) So I shopped around and bought one for pretty cheap on sale. I'm happy with it. My Mom called, surprisingly, and it was about the gambling that we're going to do next Saturday. We're going to drive up to BlackHawk/Central City and gamble for the day to celebrate my 21st. Should be fun and it would be even more fun if I actually win some money. The truth is, if I win some money, it'll probably go to paying back my Mom and paying off my credit cards. After my old one is paid off, I'm going to cancel it so I only have the Sony one. I would think if I spent it until I was old, I would have a shitload of points. Nothing to do today. Tomorrow we decided to go to Denver to watch the Super Bowl with Laura's family...better than staying here, that's for sure. The WebCT, the way we take online classes at Front Range is experiencing some fucked up things and it apparently won't be taken care of for a few days. Good for me, I guess. I wil probably read computer or something soon. History is one class I'm kinda behind. But yeah, Nothing to do this night. Maybe just hang out inhouse or something. Laura's playing The Sims, as usual and the rest are downstairs. Oh yeah, did I tell you we redid our living room? I like it much better.
